# Banded Calcite Bowl
A magnificent hand-carved Banded Calcite Bowl, showcasing extraordinary natural layers of warm earth tones formed over time within the stone.
Sweeping bands of cream, caramel, honey, warm amber, and deep brown follow the organic contours of the bowl, creating a remarkable pattern that seems to flow continuously through the piece. Each layer records a different stage of mineral formation, giving the bowl an almost topographical appearance.
The beautifully polished surface brings exceptional depth to the Calcite, allowing subtle translucency and variations in color to emerge beneath the surface. Toward the center, deeper amber and brown tones create a dramatic focal point, surrounded by increasingly lighter bands that extend outward toward the rim.
Because the bowl has been carved to follow the character of the original stone rather than imposing a perfectly uniform shape, its softly irregular outline preserves a wonderful sense of its natural origin. The result is both functional object and mineral sculpture.
